Hello and welcome!
First of all, thanks for stopping by.
This blog/website will be the digital home for my DIY Airbus A320 Simulator Project.
I have always dreamed of a full-scale cockpit for flightsimming. I’m a long term plane nerd, and have really fallen in love with the complexity and also the simplicity of the Airbus.
As A320 is the most well documented and simulated plane of all airbusses, the choice have fallen to this plane.
The Project
The project is a freetime/hobby project – so everything will come when the time is there for it.
- The goal is a full size 1:1 replica of a A320 NEO Cockpit.
- Every panel, button, knob, flightstick, etc. should have a feeling as close to OEM/Real parts as possible.
For me it is very important that nothing is left to coincidences. I will be scouting the web and all sources I can obtain to be as precise as possible in my making of the simulator.
I will take great care in researching every component, to get the precise look and feel of the real aircraft. The software modellers of the simulator plugins (FBW, Fenix etc.) all take great care to model every little aspect of the aircraft systems, thus will I in the hardware part of it.
I will post more in-depth knowledge and instructions, as I dive deeper into this project/journey, and document my research, to my hope that fellow simmers can make great use of it.
Thanks for flying by, and again, welcome.
